Women's Cricket

The Willetton District Cricket Club Women's Cricket Program will be presented by former first- class player Tom Hansell on three Thursdays during the season - being from 4pm to 5.30 at the Burrendah turf nets facility, part of the Willetton Sports club. Dates are:

  • Thursday 18th December
  • Thursday 22nd January
  • Thursday 12th February
WDCC will also be inviting Emily Dunn, one of our successful female players. Emily played District 13's and 14's with Willetton and now plays A grade women's cricket at 16's and at State 17's level. She has a keen interest in our program, having been involved at the club and as one of our outstanding women cricketers.

We look forward to continuing to set the benchmark with Talent Identification and Junior programs such as the Emerging Dragons program. This program has 22 talented 9-12 year olds training and being coached at Burrendah and experiencing Turf for the first time. This squad includes young 10 year- old Cheyenne Burrell, pictured bottom left, with other members of the squad.
